November 2010 God instructed me to write a monthly newsletter. I had no idea what to write, but I placed my fingers on the keyboard of the computer and God did the rest. Here is one of the articles from the first newsletter God inspired me to write in 2010.
Living a Life filled with Thanksgiving
As we prepare for a day set aside by man to give thanks, we need to remember that our praise and thanksgiving cannot be contained in only one day. God deserves our praise and thanksgiving 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, and 365 days a year. In other words, we should bless His name always.
David said in Psalm 34:1: “I will bless the LORD at all times: his praise shall continually be in my mouth.”
Satan doesn’t want us to praise God; he does not want us to remember the goodness of God. Stumbling blocks are placed in our lives constantly. He (Satan) wants to trip us up. We must be steadfast on this journey; remembering that no weapon formed against us will prosper (Isaiah 54:17). We can be strong in the Lord!
Even as I write, Satan is trying to convince me that I shouldn’t be doing this. If this newsletter helps at least one person with their struggle; then praise God, I can rejoice.
But, even if no one benefits from this I still rejoice because I was obedient to my heavenly Father and that’s all that matters.
Sisters, please be encouraged. No matter what you are going through please remember that God will never put more on us than we can bear. Be encouraged by the fact that Jesus knows all about us and He loves us.
This month marks the beginning of the eighth year of publication for the Faithful Sisters newsletter. God is still working in and through me to get His message out.
